St Hilda’s School breaks new record

A vibrant Colour Explosion wasn’t the only reason why students at St Hilda’s School were smiling – together, they achieved a mammoth fundraising goal and planted thousands of trees and shrubs in a vulnerable environment.

Students at St Hilda’s School Southport were achieving some big goals with their first ever Colour Explosion, raising over $38,326 for three different charities! By choosing to plant native trees and shrubs instead of incentive prizes, the Southport school also contributed 2,555 trees and shrubs to the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor: breaking a new record for the greatest number of trees or shrubs planted by an individual school.

The Best Day Ever for St Hilda’s School

After having to postpone their 2020 Colour Explosion due to coronavirus, and then poor weather, Prep to Grade 6 students were over the moon to finally get to run through the clouds of colourful dust. St Hilda’s School oval was full of giggling students, bubbling with excitement as they waited for the brightest day at school.

Having already raised an awesome amount of money for their chosen charities, the vibrant Colour Explosion School Fun was the cherry on top of an awesome fundraising experience.

Hosting the Colour Explosion School Fun Run for the first time, St Hilda’s School Southport should be so proud of their fundraising achievements. Their school community came together to raise a total of $38,326. Using lots of ways to boost their Fun Run profits, the Go Green Colour Explosion Fun Run was a highlight in the school calendar.
