BLC only collects personal information that is necessary for one or more of its business functions (including your contact details, account login details, website usage details). BLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15, even with parental consent.

3. The purposes for which personal information is collected and used
BLC may collect and use your personal information for a number of purposes (including marketing communications, targeted advertising on third party websites and social media sites, to fulfil orders and to respond to consumer queries).

4. Disclosure of personal information to other parties in Australia and overseas
BLC will not disclose your personal information with any third party that intends to use it for direct marketing purposes unless we have specifically informed you and you have given us specific permission to do this.

For those taking part in our Plant-A-Difference, Go Green or Charity Fun Run Fundraisers, we will share your information with the charity for which you are fundraising so they can acknowledge your support and provide additional information and resources about your chosen cause.

5. Data storage and security
BLC takes all reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information it holds against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure, and against other misuse. When the personal information that we collect is no longer required, we destroy or delete it in a secure manner.

6. How you may access your personal information and seek its correction
You can request access to the personal information BLC holds about you by contacting the BLC Privacy Officer in writing here. If the personal information held about you is inaccurate, incomplete or not up to date you may request that BLC correct the information.

7. How to make a complaint and how complaints will be handled
If you are concerned about a possible interference with your privacy or misuse of your personal information by BLC, please contact the BLC Privacy Officer in writing here or by contacting the Privacy Office on 1300 133 022 to obtain a Privacy Complaint form. It is BLC’s policy to handle complaints in a timely, effective, fair and consistent manner.
