How does a Plant-A-Difference Sustainable Fundraiser work?
A Plant-A-Difference sustainable fundraiser encourages donations by giving them a dual purpose: help restore the environment whilst raising money for your school or group! Alongside making an incredible profit for your organisation, the purpose of the Plant-A-Difference is to support conservation and protection of some of our most vulnerable and appreciated environments. For every $20 raised your participants will be able to choose between planting a tree in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor OR planting one coral in the Great Barrier Reef.
Tree planting brings many valuable benefits to the environment including carbon sequestration, reducing soil salinity, enhancing the biodiversity of plants and animals, and restoring habitats for native animals! On the flipside, coral planting supports the restoration, research and protection of one of Australia’s most iconic natural wonders. The Reef is a unique ecosystem; home to thousands of species of marine life, including fish, whales, dolphins, and six of the world’s seven species of marine turtle. But a changing climate is threatening its future, and coral planting helps save our Reef and all its living diversity for future generations.
