25 Years of Loyal Support
Since the very first day of Australian Fundraising, Kathy has been the friendly voice at the end of the phone. From our early beginnings in a garage, to our now 27-strong team of staff, countless schools and groups have started their fundraising journey with Kathy by their side. Now, 25-years of loyal support later, Kathy has decided to hang up the phone for Australian Fundraising one last time.
As a family-owned-and-operated business, Australian Fundraising is more than just a workplace. Reflecting on Kathy’s involvement since Day 1, now Operations Manager Kylie Gaydon cherishes fond memories of Kathy throughout the years. “Rob [now General Manager of Australian Fundraising] and I would come home from school every day and see Kathy’s smiling face as we were walking down the driveway.”
“Kathy has seen it all, and been through it all with us,” Kylie ponders. “When we first started, Kathy was the only person answering the phone when schools and groups contacted us.” Now, Australian Fundraising has eight Fundraising Specialists, including Kathy, who is still one of the first points of contact.
When Australian Fundraising expanded, Kathy moved from looking after fundraising groups Australia-wide, to focussing on Queensland schools and groups. For over 15 years, Queensland fundraising coordinators have been delighted by Kathy’s kindness, support and passion for fundraising.
Celebrating 25 years of loyal support in 2022, Kathy has decided to hang up the phone for Australian Fundraising, to enjoy her golden years in retirement.
Although it is strange to see Australian Fundraising without Kathy in our office, we are so excited for her to enjoy some well-deserved rest and relaxation. Not a goodbye, but simply a “See you soon!”, we wish Kathy all the best for her future!
