National Family Business Day
On 19 September, we celebrate National Family Business Day, a time to recognise and honour the incredible contributions of family-owned and operated businesses across Australia.
At Australian Fundraising, being a third-generation family business is at the heart of who we are. For over 25 years, our family has proudly operated from Brisbane, Queensland, creating fundraising programs that bring joy, colour, and meaningful impact to schools, sporting clubs, and community groups across Australia.
What began as a small family operation has grown into Australia’s most trusted fundraising partner, all while keeping our values of community, integrity, and family spirit at the core of everything we do.
Our mission is simple: to make fundraising easy, effective, and enjoyable. At no up-front cost, schools and groups across Australia can access turn-key, stress-free, and cyber-safe online fundraising programs, supported by our friendly team every step of the way.
“As pioneers in the Australian fundraising industry, what began as a small family business has grown into the nation’s most trusted fundraising partner. At Australian Fundraising, we remain proud of our roots and committed to the values that built us—community, integrity, and family spirit—guiding everything we do.” says Robert Gaydon, Co-CEO of Australian Fundraising.
From vibrant fun runs with colour powder and slime, to glow-in-the-dark disco parties and our ever popular Billy G’s Gourmet Cookie Dough fundraiser, we provide fundraising programs that engage communities while raising big funds.
Caring for More than Just Funds
We are also committed to making a positive impact beyond fundraising. Through our Care For A Cause initiative, students can choose to support one of six amazing causes instead of pursuing incentive prizes. This unique initiative redefines incentive prizes, giving students the chance to contribute to the environment and communities in need.
“Now as a third-generation family business, we remain committed to the values our parents built this company on: dedication, integrity, and care. We are very proud to carry that legacy forward and continually evolve to support organisations across Australia in raising much-needed funds” says Kylie Gaydon, Co-CEO of Australian Fundraising.
As we celebrate National Family Business Day 2025, we reflect on how proud we are to be a family-owned business supporting thousands of Australian schools and groups. Thank you to all schools, groups, P&Cs, volunteers, and students who continue to make fundraising a colourful, fun, and impactful experience.
