Are School Colour Runs Suited To Sydney Primary Schools?
Absolutely yes. Colour runs are the ultimate school fundraiser — exciting, inclusive, and packed with energy! Not only do they raise big dollars for your school, but they also create unforgettable memories for students, teachers, and parents alike.
If you’re thinking about hosting a Monty the Monstar Fun Run, we make it easy, safe, and successful from start to finish. We supply vibrant, non-toxic, food-grade, and gluten-free colour powder, plus sunglasses (recommended for eye protection), headbands, and everything else you need to pull off a stress-free fundraising event.
You can customise your Colour Fun Run to suit your school, big or small! Get the whole school excited with our ready-to-use marketing materials, including social media posts, flyers, and sponsorship tools. With our exciting incentive prizes, students are even more motivated to fundraise! You won’t be doing it alone! A dedicated Fundraising Coach will guide you every step of the way.
How Long Is A School Colour Run?
This is entirely up to you. You can make the course as long or as short as you like. Our Fundraising Coaches will help you plan out the circuit for maximum fun for your students. With colour stations, obstacle courses, hoses, slime pits and more – anything is possible.
What Should Be Worn To A School Colour Run?
The colour powder is made of non-toxic flour and food colouring. While it shouldn’t stain when it gets brushed off, if it comes in contact with water it can stain in some instances. We usually recommend an old white shirt, and old shoes (as the white rubber can retain some colour sometimes). You can treat the shirts afterwards to retain the colour if you like. We have a blog article that will help you with this if you want the shirt to be a memory of such a fantastic day at school.
If there are any participants that have been advised to be careful around the powder, we usually recommend a different coloured shirt so that anyone throwing powder at a colour station can recognise them immediately.
